I’ve heard lilies grow

Without toiling and ravens

Neither reap nor sow.

God provides safe havens

But faith isn’t always enough.

Words do not fill stomachs

There’s no manna on the ground.

Countries are destroyed by war

The list goes on and on.

Goodness comes in ways,

We do not understand.

Together we stand strong

We are God’s hands.

About John Northcutt Young

I write. Remember making-up stories from spelling words in the fifth grade. A journalism degree followed. Thanks for looking.
