ebookthecompletepoemsofbrevitycoverI’ve got to stop

Living like I do;

Cutting things too close,

Hoping for something new.

My life is unconventional,

I’m nearly belly up.

Wobbling on the edge,

The net ripped under.

Me, myself, and I

Aren’t struggling through alone.

Every action touches another–

Faith, hope and love.

Someday I’ll settle down,

Get into a rut.

End this running around,

My eyes forever shut.

About John Northcutt Young

I write. Remember making-up stories from spelling words in the fifth grade. A journalism degree followed. Thanks for looking.
