Behind Me

Suicide in literature is always a risky subject. Especially when you try combining it with humor. That’s why “A Note” troubles me. But not taking a risk will trouble me more because that’s what writers do.

It’s the story about a writer who can’t get published so he sits down to write a suicide note. Of course it’s draws from personal experience, but that is also what we do. Everything that goes in comes out in a different form. (Okay, right here I’m thinking of another process which might be used to describe my writing, but that too is an important function in life.)

I see my story has a lesson in counting your blessings, following the path of It’s A Wonderful Life. Another story that touched on suicide.

Judge for yourself. Download “A Note” for free until September 29th.
